Touch-a-Truck puts your little ones behind the wheel of their favorite vehicles including fire engines, police cars, snow plows, leaf collection trucks, street sweepers, trash trucks, hauling trucks and even the sewer camera truck.

Please bring a canned or boxed food item with you to support the Village Coalition Against Hunger.

Most Needed Items:

Boxed Breakfast Cereal/Granola Bars/Peanut Butter/Canned Chicken or Tuna




Urgent need:

Boxed Breakfast cereal


Peanut butter and jelly

Pasta sauce and pasta

Granola bars

Canned meat (chicken, beef, tuna, ham)

Noodles and noodle mixes

Rice and rice mixes


Always need:

Pancake mix and syrup

Canned meals (ravioli, spaghetti o’s)

Canned fruit

Biscuit, muffin or baking mixes that only require milk or water.





Cheese and peanut butter crackers

Shelf stable milk

Snack items for kids to take to school: juice boxes, containers of fruit or applesauce, etc.

Laundry Detergent

The Village Coalition Against Hunger, a New Albany nonprofit organization that is collecting and distributing food to residents in need, is searching for a permanent home in the city it serves.  


Angela Douglas, director of the Village Coalition Against Hunger, and Phil Heit, a founder of Healthy New Albany, show some of the items donated at the Philip Heit Center for Healthy New Albany during the coalition’s recent food drive.
